CMU Templates: Copy Global to Job ( Utility Functions )

An SDS2 Concrete or SDS2 Concrete Station license is required to enable the use of this utility.
  • Global CMU templates are stored in the data directory used by your current version of this program. Job CMU templates are stored in your current Job and can be added to a CMU wall in that Job by selecting the " Template " in that member's edit window.
  • However, a member edit window cannot be used to add a global template. So, to use global templates in your current Job, you need to use this utility to copy them to your current Job from the library of global templates.
  • The number or names of global templates currently maintained in the data directory does not change as a result of your using this utility.
  • See the step-by-step instructions .

Alternative 2 : Press the " Cancel " button to end the Copy Global CMU Templates to Job operation. Do not continue.

3 . One of the following happens:

Possibility 1 : An alert dialog opens if any of the CMU templates you selected in step 2 reside in your current Job. If you press " Yes " on this dialog, you will overwrite the CMU templates with those in your template repository. If you press " No " on this dialog, the Copy Global CMU Templates to Job operation ends. Do not continue.

One or more of the selected items already exists.
Do you want to overwrite?

Tip: When a CMU template is overwritten using this utility, you must mark for processing CMU walls that are defined by it (for example, by using the Mark for Processing tool) and Process and Create Solids before the copied template will be applied.

Possibility 2 : None of the templates you selected in step 2 reside in your current job. The templates are copied to your job, and the operation ends.

4 . The global templates selected in step 2 continue to exist in the repository for such templates and copies of those templates are now Job CMU templates . You can now apply such a template to CMU walls in your current Job by making it the " Template " selection in the member's edit window.
